What is meant by the term "pseudo-regular tachycardia" in patients with atrial fibrillation?

In patients with atrial fibrillation and severe tachycardia, the rhythm may seem regular. This so-called pseudo-regularity is found starting at heart rates of above 160-180 bpm. It is usually attributable to measurement inaccuracies.
